APEWARD PRIVACY
APEWARD doesn't ask who you are, has no accounts of its own, and doesn't send your game progress to us. The outside services in the game are ads, optional purchases, leaderboards and crash reports.
WHO WE ARE
APEWARD is a game made by Artazyn LLC ("we", "us"). This policy covers the APEWARD app for Android and iPhone.
SAVED ON YOUR PHONE
The game saves your progress on your own device so it's there when you come back:
- Your best scores, Today's Tower results and streaks
- The boards, hats and abilities you've unlocked, their levels and your daily crates
- Your settings, such as sound, music and graphics
- Which tips and screens you've already seen
This stays on your device. We don't receive it, and it isn't linked to your name. Deleting the app removes it.
ADS
APEWARD is free and supported by ads. There are no banner ads.
- Reward videos you choose to watch: a second chance when you fall, and bonus crates (up to three a day).
- Occasional full-screen ads between climbs. These never appear in your first day of play or your first 10 climbs, never right after you fall, and never after a new best score. A short "quick break" card always shows first.
Ads are delivered through Unity LevelPlay and the advertising partners it works with, such as Google AdMob. When the app loads or shows an ad, these companies collect and share some information to show ads, measure them and prevent fraud. This can include:
- Your device's IP address, which can indicate your general location
- Device identifiers, such as the Android advertising ID or, on iPhone, the advertising identifier if you allow tracking
- How you interact with ads, such as views and taps
- Technical and diagnostic information about your device and the app
These companies collect and handle this information under their own policies: Unity and Google. Information is encrypted while it's sent.
Your choices. In Europe and the UK the game asks for your consent before personalised ads. On iPhone, the game asks whether it may track you; choose "Ask App Not to Track" and the advertising identifier isn't shared. You can change this any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
On Android, open Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Settings → Google → Ads) to delete or reset your advertising ID.
REMOVE ADS
You can buy Remove Ads to turn off the automatic ads for good. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play or the App Store. We never see your card or payment details; the store only tells the game that the purchase is valid, so it can switch ads off and restore your purchase on a new phone.
LEADERBOARDS
Leaderboards for Endless and Today's Tower use Google Play Games on Android and Game Center on iPhone. When you're signed in, the game sends your scores to that service, and other players can see your score next to your Play Games or Game Center name and picture. Google and Apple handle this under their own policies: Google, Apple. You can change your profile, its visibility or sign out in the Play Games app or your iPhone's Game Center settings.
GAME SETTINGS FROM OUR SITE
When the game starts, it may download a small settings file from artazyn.com, for example how often between-climb ads can appear. Like any web request, this sends your IP address to our web host. Nothing about you or your game is sent with it.
CRASH REPORTS
APEWARD is built with the Unity game engine. If the game crashes or freezes, Unity may send us a report with technical details such as your device model, system version and the error. Reports don't include your name or your progress, and we use them only to fix bugs. Unity handles them under its privacy policy.
REMINDERS AND RATINGS
If you allow notifications, the game can remind you once a day when a new Today's Tower is up. These reminders are scheduled on your phone; we don't send them or receive anything from them. You can turn them off in the game's settings or your phone's settings.
Now and then, after a great climb, the game may show your app store's own rating window. Google or Apple handle it; we don't see whether you rated.
SHARING YOUR SCORE
When you tap Share, the game makes a poster of your climb and opens your phone's share menu. Nothing is sent unless you pick an app and send it yourself.
WHAT WE DON'T DO
- We don't ask for your name, email or contacts.
- We don't use your camera, microphone or precise location.
- We don't sell your personal information.
- We don't run our own analytics or tracking in the game.
CHILDREN
APEWARD is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
DELETING YOUR DATA
To erase everything the game stores, clear the app's data in Android settings or uninstall the app; on iPhone, delete the app. To remove leaderboard scores, use the Play Games app or Game Center. To reset your advertising ID, see the Ads section above. For anything else, email us.
YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information a company holds about you and to have it deleted. Because the game doesn't send us your personal information, we usually have nothing to provide. For information collected through ads, use Unity's and Google's privacy controls. You can still contact us with any request.
CHANGES
If we change how the game handles information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
